your customers are telling a story you've never heard

Right now, somebody is talking about your business.

Not in an ad. At a dinner table. In a group chat. In a car on the way home. They're telling a story about you, and you've never heard it.

Most owners never do. They're too busy trying to write a better one.

I know because I almost made that mistake.

At Lxve, we never chased promos. No discount weeks. No begging for posts. People asked how the chairs stayed full. The honest answer is our clients did the talking.

But here's the part that took me years. It wasn't just that they talked. It was what they said.

They didn't talk about the price. They didn't talk about the hours. They talked about how they felt walking out.

They talked about the conversation. About being remembered. About sitting in a chair where somebody actually knew them. Then they sent their friends to sit in it too.

That was the ad. I didn't write it. They did.

Every business has that line. Most owners have never heard it, because they never asked. Or they asked the wrong way. "How did we do?" gets you a star rating. It doesn't get you the story.

The story comes out when you stop selling and start listening. Sit with a customer. Ask what made them come back. Ask who they told, and what they said. Then be quiet longer than feels comfortable.

What you'll hear won't sound like your website. It'll sound better. It'll be smaller and more specific. A detail you thought nobody noticed. A moment you didn't think mattered.

That's the thing worth telling.

Trends come and go. Every few months there's a new trick, a new format, a new thing everybody swears by. Chase all of it and you'll sound like everybody else, just a little late.

Your customers' story doesn't expire. It's true, and it's yours. Nobody can copy it, because nobody else lived it.

So before you spend another dollar trying to be heard, try hearing.

Your customers already wrote your ad. Go find out what it says.
