I stopped spending my money and started stacking it
For a long time, I spent everything I made.
Not on anything crazy. Just on living. A good week meant a good weekend. A slow week meant waiting for the next good one. The chair paid, and the money went right back out.
I thought I needed more money. I didn't. I needed to keep it.
Then it hit me. I wasn't prepared for the future.
If I ever broke my hand, I couldn't work. Everything I had came through these two hands. One bad fall, and the money stops.
Nobody else was going to fix that for me.
That's when I stopped spending and started stacking.
Stacking isn't being cheap. I still live. It's deciding, before the money comes in, that some of it already has a job. It's not mine to spend. It's mine to build with.
The hard part wasn't the math. It was the habit. Every barber knows this. You don't get good at a fade by reading about it. You get good by doing it right, again and again, until it's who you are. Money's the same. Discipline is just repetition with a reason.
Then I had to learn. I didn't want somebody telling me what to buy. I wanted to know how to read it myself.
So I started learning to trade. How to read a chart. Where the income actually comes from.
At first it was overwhelming. So many people selling recycled content they don't fully understand. I spent a lot of money on courses. I lost money in the markets.
Then something clicked. Less is more. I pieced together what actually works, what's actually relevant, and I filtered out the noise.
I'm still filtering. I invest my own money, and I'm still learning.
Here's what I figured out along the way. Advice runs out. Somebody tells you what to do, and the day they stop, you're lost. Knowledge doesn't run out. Once you know how to read what's in front of you, you can make your own call. Good year, bad year, it's still yours.
No one can take that from you.
That's why, when I share any of this, I teach it. I don't tell people what will happen, because nobody knows. I show them how I read it, so one day they don't need me.
If you're spending everything you make, I'm not judging. I was you.
You don't need more. You need to keep some. And you need to know what to do with it.
Start there.
If you're ready to stop spending and start stacking, introduce yourself.
